Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2008

'The Seer' selected.
Nigel's oil painting "The Seer" has been selected for the The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2008.
The exhibition runs from the 28th April to the 11th May
at The Mall Galleries, The Mall, London.
The Times suggested on 22 April 2006: "Of the country's two major annual portrait exhibitions, the BP Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery in June might be better known, but the one at the Royal Society is surely the more glittering, as it is to the society that many of the country's powerful institutions go to commission portraits of their leaders." Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2007
'The Purple Flower' selected.
Nigel's oil painting "The Purple Flower" was exhibited at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2007.
The exhibition ran from the 26th April to the 13th May
at The Mall Galleries, The Mall, London.
Julian Fellowes launched the event on Wednesday 25th April.
Regarding "The Purple Flower" Julian wrote: "Emma and I fought our way through the crush to find Nigel's painting, which was absolutely ravishing. Quite small and meticulously detailed, it was
an exquisite study of a woman's head, with a distinctive purple
flower, really marvellous and rather haunting." The Purple Flower, 8"x15" , Oil on Panel

Charity Auction
The Lighthouse Gala Auction
"Fagan's Fortune" by Nigel Cox was Auctioned for Charity making £4,200.- for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
The Lighthouse Gala Auction 2007 at Christie's has become a fixture in the social calendars of London's most fashionable set and raises much-needed funds for Terrence Higgins Trust, Europe's leading HIV charity.
Nigel Cox donated his oil painting "Fagan's Fortune" to be auctioned for charity at this event.Fagan's Fortune

27 Sept 2006Art exhibition raises funds for CINI - (Children in Need India)
Nigel Cox and Sandra Bell exhibited their paintings and sculpture in a two
artist show titled 'Duality' at Gallery 27 in Cork Street, Mayfair, London
from 24 - 30 Sept 2006.
On the 27th September Nigel, Sandra and Stonehenge Public Relations
held a Charity function at Gallery 27, Cork Street.
Enough money was raised at the event to provide nearly 230 severely
malnourished children at CINI's centre just outside Kolkata (Calcutta)
with the food they need in order to be nursed back to health.

Portrait of Maxwell Hutchinson
Maxwell Hutchinson collects his portrait which was originally painted in 1988
and updated in 2005.
Maxwell Hutchinson visited the GX gallery in South London to collect his
monochrome portrait which was painted in oil on canvas.
